What is a KOT?
KOT stands for Kitchen Order Ticket: in many kitchens, simply the parchi. It tells the cooks what to make: the order or table number, each dish with its quantity, and notes like “less spicy”. It carries no prices; the bill is separate.
When a table orders more, a new KOT goes to the kitchen with only the new dishes, so nothing already sent gets cooked twice.

Every change reaches the kitchen

What is the full form of KOT?
KOT means Kitchen Order Ticket. It is the slip that tells the kitchen what to cook for which table or order. In Hindi-speaking kitchens it is often just called the parchi.
What is the difference between a KOT and a bill?
A KOT goes to the kitchen and lists dishes and quantities, with no prices. The bill goes to the guest and shows prices, taxes, discounts and the total. POSBADA prints both from the same order.
Which printer do I need for KOT printing?
A USB thermal printer with 58 mm or 80 mm paper, connected to a computer running Chrome. We check your model during setup. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth printers aren't supported yet.
Can waiters print KOTs from their phones?
Yes. An order placed on a waiter's phone or tablet prints at the counter print station straight away. Waiter phones never need a printer of their own.
What happens when a table orders more?
Keep the table's tab open and add the new round. A fresh KOT with only the new dishes goes to the kitchen, and the bill adds everything up at the end.
How much does KOT software cost?

Does KOT printing work without internet?
Screens stay open if the internet drops for a moment. For longer outages, offline support is included with POSBADA-HUB, a Windows computer at your outlet: keep taking orders, running the kitchen, billing and printing over your outlet's local network, and everything syncs when the internet returns.
